A wonderful note I received earlier today:

For the first night of Chanukah, we gave Jacob a new iPhone. The price? $1,000.

Last evening, for the third night of Chanukah, we gave Jacob an hour of time with a friend. The price? Nothing.

Which do you think he appreciated far, far more? The one that was priceless.
